The 21st Annual Rec Your Body Indoor Triathlon is co-hosted by the SIU Triathlon Club and the Student Recreation Center.
Participants compete for distance in a 10 minute swim, 20 minute stationary bike ride, and a 15 minute run on the indoor 200 m track.
Adequate time for transitions from swim to bike and bike to run will be allotted.
Winners determined by a point system based on total distance covered.
Open to athletes age 10 - 80+
Youth under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Limited to a total of 60 participants.
Pre-registration required - no race day registration available.
Event begins at 9:00a.m.
Participants able to retrieve their registration packet between 8:00a.m. - 8:45a.m.
Mandatory pre-race meeting held at 8:45a.m. on race day.
Participants will compete in "waves" of 15 per "wave". 1st "wave" starts at 9:00a.m. with succeeding waves following in 30 min. intervals.
"Wave" seeding determined by self reported swimming ability.
Awards given to the top three female and male fiinishers.
Top male/female age-group finishers will also recieve awards.
Age groups are: 10-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50 -54; 55-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+
Proceeds will go towards the SIU Triathlon Club to assist in supporting their participation in competitions.
Entry fee includes commemorative race tshirt.
